Summer 1965-Winter 1970/71
TEE 9 - Rheingold
Train from Genève with branches to Amsterdam and Hoek van Holland.
Stops: Genève-Lausanne-Bern-Basel/Basel-Basel Bad-Freiburg-Karlsruhe-
Mannheim-Mainz-Koblenz-Bonn-Köln-Düsseldorf-Duisburg-Emmerich-

about 23.10. In Duisburg cariages where exchanged between this
train and Rheinpfeil. In the winter of
1967/68 the stop in Rotterdam Noord was replaced by one in
Schiedam=Rotterdam West. In the summer of 1968 the train was speeded
up with an arrival in Amsterdam of about 22.35 and Hoek van Holland of
about 22.55. The Hoek van Holland branch had formally a different
number (probably 20009) but that number was not publicized.

TEE 10 - Rheingold
Reversal of TEE 9, however until the summer of 1966 without the stop in
Emmerich. Also exchanges with Rheinpfeil.
Departure Amsterdam about 7.45, Hoek van Holland about 7.10,
arrival Genève about 18.50. Also here the stop in Rotterdam Noord was
moved to Schiedam=Rotterdam West in winter 1967/68. And here the branch
from Hoek van Holland probably had the number 20010. Renumbered

Summer 1971-Winter 1985/86
TEE 16/6 - Rheingold
Successor of TEE 9. At this time timing was modified to a departure of
about 11.30 and an arrival in Amsterdam of about 22.25 and in Hoek van
Holland of about 22.45. In the summer of 1972 arrival in Hoek van
Holland was set back to about 23.00, later back to 22.55. In summer 1975
there was again a move: departure 11.25, arrival Amsterdam 22.15, Hoek van
Holland 22.50. During the summers of 1977 to 1979 (daylight saving time
in the Netherlands but not in Germany and Switzerland) arrival was one hour
later. In the summer of 1979 the branch to Hoek van Holland was omitted and
the times moved to a departure of 11.15 and an arrival of 21.55. In the
summer of 1980 the section Genève-Bern was not run (and departure in Bern
one hour earlier because of time difference). From the summer of 1982 the
train started in Basel (time about 12.20, arrival in Amsterdam about 19.55).
In the summers of 1983 and 1984 a branch from München was added with the
stops: München-Augsburg-Donauwörth-Nördlingen-Aalen-Schwäbisch Gmünd-
Stutgart/Stuttgart-Heilbronn-Eberbach-Heidelberg-Mannheim, departure about
10.05. From the summer of 1985 the train was run later, departure Basel
about 13.10, arrival Amsterdam about 20.35. Also the branch from München
was now running in winter too, lengthened from Salzburg in summer with
the stops: Salzburg-Freilassing-Traunstein-München/München-Augsburg-Ulm-
Stuttgart/Stuttgart-Heidelberg-Darmstadt-Mainz. Departure Salzburg 9.50,
München 11.40. The branch to Hoek van Holland was formally run under
a different number (probably 20006) but that number was not
publicized; the branch from Salzburg/München until Mannheim/Mainz was run
under number 16. Renumbered in TEE 16/14.
TEE 7/17 - Rheingold
Renumbering of TEE 10. In the summer of 1973 the departure in Hoek van
Holland was put forward to about 7.20. During the summers of 1977 to 1979
(DST in the Netherlands) departure was one hour later. In the summer of
1980 the section Bern-Genève was not run (and arrival in Bern one hour
earlier because of the time difference). From the summer of 1982 the
train terminated in Basel with an arrival time of about 15.30.
In the summers of 1983 and 1984 the branch to München was added (arrival
about 18.05). From summer 1985 the train was put forward with a
departure of about 7.00 and arrival in Basel of about 14.25, also the
branch to München was added (arrival 15.44) extended to Salzburg
(arrival 17.30) during the summers. The branch from Hoek van Holland
was formally probably numbered 20007, the branch to München/Salzburg
was numbered 17. Renumbered in TEE 15/17.
Summer 1986-Winter 1986/87
TEE 16/14 - Rheingold
Successor of TEE 16/6. The number 14 was used on the Basel-Amsterdam
main route, 16 was used on the branch from Salzburg/München.
Already abandoned in summer 1987.
TEE 15/17 - Rheingold
These shortlived numberes were a renumbering of TEE 7/17. 15
for the main line and 17 for the München/Salzburg branch.
Also abandoned summer 1987.
